"This book is not just my story, there were so many wonderful people I was blessed to know in my community growing up, and even though many have since went to heaven, this is my love story to all of those that shaped me into the woman I am today. My parents took the time to teach me about God, kindness, love, nature, and the importance of gratitude for blessings big and small. I have known such happiness and joy, even during difficult times, due to this foundation. Many of the illustrations come from childhood photos and memories, and after three years of dedication, it is an honor to share with the world my story and the beauty of a simple Michigan kid's heart.
